The Challenge
RAINN (Rape, Assault, and Incest National Network) is the largest anti-sexual assault organization in the United State. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline that serves survivors and victims with 24/7 crisis support and counseling. RAINN asked nclud to completely redesign and rethink the UX of their site as well as their 24/7 online chat crisis support system. Their existing site was outdated, slow, and suffered from poor information architecture.

The Solution
The final design of the online hotline had been tediously redesigned until our team and the client felt that the audience using it would feel comfortable and safe. From using cool shades of green to empasize the feeling of being calm to keeping the font size small for viewers who are often telling their deepest secrets. The chat window can be resized and moved around to the user’s preference. And finally the user will also be presented with resources to read for help based on their chat concern as they wait.
